[Residential] PLA Level 2 (Carer PT) Bangalow
At Feros Care Villages, we are far from traditional in our delivery of care. You can look forward to pets roaming the corridors and laughter escaping from the common areas after dance lessons and graffiti sessions with the residents. Whilst working in the heart of our 65 bed Bangalow village, the Positive Living Associate works closely with the team to implement and evaluate the current positive living and lifestyle programs.What are some of the things I will be doing?Coordinate and assist with daily living tasks including therapies, assisting residents at meal times and supporting individual wants and desiresImplementing the lifestyle calendar ensuring individual residents recreational needs and wants are catered forYour aim is to create spontaneity and endless opportunities for fun, social interaction, participation and engagementImplementing lifestyle programs that are flexible enough to accommodate unforeseen circumstances at a short noticeResponding to resident needs during activities, including assistance with unexpected personal care needs, to support continued engagement with activities.Providing support and supervision to volunteers The boxes you have to tick: You hold a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care/Disability/Allied Health - or working towardsMedication endorsement highly desirable You are available to work a variety of shifts including leave coverageYou are passionate about supporting others and energised by interacting and engaging with people You are willing to undergo a police check and prove that you have the right to work in AustraliaAbout us:We want our team to be made up of people from all walks of life.
