What will I be doing as a Catering Assistant? Assisting chefs with the daily running of the commercial kitchenAssisting with the preparation of meals for residents, ensuring consistency in quality, taste and presentationServe and deliver meals to residents (meals, drinks, morning and afternoon teas)Assist by organizing stock and kitchen cleaning - washing dishes, packing dishwasher, work surfaces and floorsMonitoring and reporting on sufficient food supplies and low stockEnsuring compliance with Food safety legislation, the Food Safety manual and HACCP requirementsEnsuring a safe working environment in the residential facility by working within workplace health and safety requirements Essential boxes to tick:Safe Food Handling for Food Handlers Level 1 (or willingness to obtain)Current Australian Driver's Licence and current Flu Vaccination Passion for hospitality and supporting older peopleYou have the flexibility to work across the two residential sites, and availability to work a 7 day rotating rosterYou have prior Aged Care/community experience (desirable but not essential)Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand (highly regarded) You respect the privacy, confidentiality and dignity of senior clients, and maintain a professional working relationships with clients at all times (but still be up for forging some great relationships with our residents and having FUN)About us:We want our team to be made up of people from all walks of life.
